12. India IFSC: Role in Integrating Global Markets - 8th March 2018, Mumbai

The twelfth and final edition of the 1st series of the monthly seminar titled “BSE-PIF Financial Sector Policy Series” was held in Mumbai on the 8th March 2018. Ms. Nirupama Soundararajan, Senior Fellow, Pahle India Foundation welcomed the gathering and made the opening remarks at the session. The panellists for the session included Shri Sandeep Parekh, Founder, Finsec Law Advisors; Shri V. Balasubramaniam, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, India International Exchange; Shri Sriram Krishnan, Head - Securities Services, India, Deutsche Bank; and Shri Tejas Desai, Partner, Tax & Regulatory Services, Financial Services, Ernst and Young. Shri Shiva Iyer, Director, Financial Services Risk & Regulation, PwC was the moderator for the session.

The eleventh seminar of the monthly “BSE-PIF Financial Sector Policy Series” was held in Mumbai on the 27th of November 2017. The session was chaired by Justice B.N. Sri krishna (Retired Supreme Court Judge, Chairman of the Financial Sector Legislative Reforms Commission) and moderated by Shri Sunil Sanghai (Founder & CEO, Nova Dhruva Capital Pvt Ltd). The seminar discussants were Shri Soumyajit Niyogi (‎Associate Director Credit & Market Research - ‎India Ratings & Research) and Shri Piyush Chourasiya (‎Chief Risk Officer & Head, Strategy – Indian Clearing Corporation Ltd.)

10. Managing NPAs through the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code - 22nd September 2017, Mumbai

The tenth seminar of the monthly “BSE-PIF Financial Sector Policy Series” was held in Mumbai on the 22nd September 2017. Shri Ashish Kumar Chauhan, MD & CEO, BSE, made the opening remarks at the session. Shri M. S. Sahoo, Chairman, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India chaired this session which included panellists such as Shri Bahram Vakil, Founding Partner, AZB & Partners and Ms. Damini Marwah, General Counsel & Head – Law, Axis Bank Ltd. and was moderated by Shri Praveen Chakravarty, Visiting Senior Fellow, IDFC Institute.

9. REITs and InvITS and Infrastructure Financing - 29th June 2017, Mumbai

The ninth seminar of the monthly “BSE-PIF Financial Sector Policy Series” was held in Mumbai on the 29th June 2017. Shri Neeraj Kulshrestha, Chief of Business Operations, BSE made the opening remarks at the session. The panellist at the seminar included Ms Barnali Mukherji, CGM, SEBI, Shri Prasad Dhonde, Head – Alternate Assets, Birla Sun Life and Shri Anish Sanghvi, Partner, PWC and was moderated by Dr Rajiv Kumar, Founder Director, PIF.
