Arindam works as a Research Fellow with Pahle India Foundation. Prior to joining PIF in 2015, Arindam worked with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), CIANS Analytics, HDFC Bank Ltd. and Covergys. During his time at FICCI, he was co-author of the landmark report “Why India Needs a Gold Policy?” (2014) which suggested major reforms in the business of gold in India. At HDFC Bank Ltd., Arindam worked as an Operation Manager of Retail Assets with various departments including business banking, loan against property, commercial vehicle loan and gold loan. Arindam obtained a Masters in Business Economics (with specialisation in Econometric Techniques) from Guru Nanak Dev University (Amritsar) and an MSc in Finance and Financial Law from University of London . His areas of interest are financial sector, internal trade, tourism, and economic development of North East India.
