Rama Kamaraju is a Statistician, Data Scientist and Public Policy expert. Since 2014, he has designed and delivered four flagship projects of the Hon’ble PM working with the Government of India in the capacity of Sr. Consultant/Sr. Advisor.

He has been instrumental in bringing the Ease of Doing Business Ranking of the World Bank from 148 to 63 during his stint at the Ministry of Commerce & Industry between 2009 and 2017. Subsequently, he joined NITI Aayog, worked extensively in the social sector and delivered the Transformation of Aspirational Districts Programme, Aspirational Blocks Programme and created a robust Decision Support System – NGO Darpan for grant releasing Ministries/Departments including FCRA, 80G & CSR Grants.

His research interests are in Measurement of District GDP, Digital Economy and integration of System of Economic Environment Accounts with National Accounts.
