Ishan is a media professional and policy analyst with over 25 years of experience. He has held leadership positions in national newspapers including The Statesman and The Pioneer, as well as the Singapore-based media conglomerate Asia News Network. He was the founder director & editor-in- chief of Fomento Media, Goa. He has been a faculty member at the Asian Centre For Journalism, Ateneo de Manila University, Philippines, and guest faculty at the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi. Ishan was educated at Modern School, New Delhi, has a BA (History Honours) from St Stephen’s College, Delhi University, and an MA with Distinction (Asian Politics) from the University of Hull, United Kingdom. He has been a recipient of the British Chevening Fellowship for Young Journalists and the British Foreign & Commonwealth Office Shared Scholarship for postgraduate and further studies.

His areas of interest are foreign policy, geostrategic affairs, and media policy.
