Jay Dev is an economist by training and has acquired more than fifteen years of experience in empirical research, monitoring and evaluation while working with organisations such as NIPFP, RISDC, UNICEF and other research-oriented institutions. His interests include Health Economics, Labour, Econometric Modelling, and Statistical analysis. Jay Dev has published his works in journals, including Social Science and Medicine, Journal of Quantitative Economics and Economic and Political Weekly. He has expertise in handling large databases such as the Consumption Expenditure survey, Employment and Unemployment surveys done by the National Sample Survey Organization (NSSO) as well as the Annual Survey of Industries (ASI), National Family Health Survey (NFHS) and District Information of School Education (DISE).
