Ravi Pokharna

Ravi is the Executive Director at Pahle India Foundation (PIF), where he leads strategic initiatives, partnerships, and research to advance evidence-based public policy in India. With nearly two decades of experience in policy, governance, and leadership development, he has deep expertise in India’s political economy and institutional reforms. Previously, Ravi was the CEO of Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini (RMP), South Asia’s leading political think tank and leadership academy. He has served on several government committees in NITI Aayog, the Ministry of Rural Development, and the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, contributing to rural development, decentralization, and local governance reforms. He has also held senior academic roles, including Deputy Dean at the Indian Institute of Democratic Leadership and Chief Mentor at the Atal Incubation Centre-RMP Foundation. Ravi continues to collaborate closely with policymakers, academia, civil society, and industry to drive innovation, democratic governance, and inclusive economic development. He is an IIM Ahmedabad Alumni (Senior Leaders Program), and holds an MBA degree from the Faculty of Management Studies and a BTech degree from the Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information & Communication Technology.
