Dr. Vani Archana works as a Senior Fellow at Pahle India. Prior to joining Pahle India, she held Senior Research Fellow and Associate Professor roles at esteemed institutions, including IFMR Chennai, IIT Madras, Loyola College Chennai, ICSSR Delhi, ICRIER Delhi, and IMT Ghaziabad.

She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from IIT Kharagpur, a post-doctoral fellowship from IIT Madras, and was awarded the Gold Medal in her M.A. in Economics from Ranchi University.

With over 15 years of experience, she has worked on international trade, economic modelling, public policy, social welfare, and development economics. She has collaborated with government stakeholders and institutions like Yale University to support evidence-based policymaking. Her key research includes work on multilateralism vs. regionalism, New-Age FTAs being negotiated by India, and India’s investment climate.

Dr. Archana is passionate about translating rigorous empirical research into actionable policy recommendations that promotes inclusive and sustainable growth. She enjoys mentoring young researchers and engaging with grassroots voices. In her free time, she loves travelling and learning about different cultures.
