Lakhyajit Borah is a Research Assistant at Pahle India Foundation, with a postgraduate degree in Social Work (Community Organization and Development Practice) from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. Prior to this, he worked as a Research Analyst at AMS Consulting India, where he contributed to policy and impact evaluations of government schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana, Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme, and Samarth Scheme.

His engagement in the development sector has been shaped by fieldwork and internships with organizations such as Lok Seva Sangam, PRADAN, and the Goa Livelihood Forum. Growing up in rural Assam, Lakhyajit developed a strong commitment to addressing structural inequalities and promoting inclusive development. His interests lie in public policy, community development, and evidence-based research for equitable and sustainable development outcomes.
