Dr. Monika Sharma is a Senior Research Associate – Environmental Health at Pahlé India Foundation, and a Ph.D. graduate in Environmental Engineering from Delhi Technological University, with research expertise in indoor air quality, aerosol measurement and modelling, and exposure assessment, and a strong focus on the health effects of air pollution. She specializes in field-based air quality monitoring and statistical analysis of large environmental datasets. Her research has been selected for presentation at several leading international conferences, including Indoor Air 2026 (Singapore) and Health Building Asia 2025 (Hyderabad), where she also served as Session Chair. Monika has worked on studies evaluating the impact of Delhi’s Odd-Even policy, air quality management during the G20 summit, and pollution patterns linked to Diwali and festival-associated emissions. She has also contributed to projects with the Environmental Defense Fund and government bodies such as the CPCB and the DPCC on air quality policy. She was recognized with the Young Researcher Award from the Society for Indoor Environment (SIE) and the Commendable Research Award at DTU.
