Abhishek Jha holds an M.Phil. in economics from CSRD, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He has completed his M.A. economics from GIPE, Pune, and his B.A. (H.) economics from Delhi University. He has eight plus years of experience in the domains of macroeconomics, international trade and agriculture, and data analysis. In the past, he was associated with Acuity Knowledge Partners, Dun & Bradstreet, and the Trade Promotion Council of India. He qualified for UGC-JRF (Economics) in 2016.
He has also taught at the Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management, New Delhi, as a faculty member in the economics area. His area of interest includes works on empirical issues related to agricultural trade, GVC, and trade policies. He received the “Best Paper Award”from the Indian Society of Agricultural Economics for presenting the paper titled “Regional Trade Agreements of India and Implications for Agricultural Trade: An Analysis of India- ASEAN in 2018. He has co-authored book chapters, research papers, and OP-EDs (publishedin the Hindu, the HBL, and The Financial Express) in the arena of international economics, agricultural trade, and WTO policies.
