Bharat @100

PIF’s “Bharat @100” project aims to capture a wide spectrum of stakeholder perspectives from across India and the Indian diaspora. The goal is to produce a development framework for India to achieve its self-established goals for the next twenty five years. The driving philosophy of “Bharat @100” is that India’s development experience will be better served if all stakeholders converge on a comprehensive Vision for India at 2047, and are focused on addressing the challenges that are identified through wide spread consultations across the country.

The first Brainstorming Session under PIF’s “Bharat @100” project was held in New Delhi on Saturday, 12th November 2022. The session was well attended and saw participation from financial experts, chartered accountants, lawyers, corporates, and academic experts among others. Dr. Rajiv Kumar, Chairman, Pahle India Foundation and former Vice Chairman, NITI Aayog presented the ‘Bharat @100’ initiative. Shri Satish Kumar, National Co-organising Secretary, Swadesh Jagaran Manch, Shri Kashmiri Lal, National Organising Secretary, Swadesh Jagaran Manch Professor B P Sharma, National Co-convenor, Swadesh Jagaran Manch and Ms Manvi Sharma, Secretary General, Foreign Investors India Forum were eminent panel members. Mr. Ravi Pokharna, Executive Director, Pahle India Foundation moderated the session and Mr. Nitin Agrawal, Director, Pahle India Foundation gave the concluding remarks.

The second Brainstorming Session under the “Bharat @100” project was held in Uttarakhand on 1st December, 2022. This session was attended by esteemed Vice Chancellors of the Indian Himalayan Central Universities’ Consortium (IHCUC). This session was followed by the first Youth Consultation under the “Bharat @100” project which was held on 2nd December, 2022, and was attended by several bright, young students and youth from across the state of Uttarakhand.

The third Brainstorming Session under “Bharat @100” was held in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh on 14th December, 2022. This session was held in partnership with the Foreign Investors India Forum and Institute for Industrial Development, with several industry representatives, academics, and civil society members in attendance. The second Youth Consultation was held later the same day.

The fourth Brainstorming Session under “Bharat @100” was held in Mumbai, Maharashtra on 20^th December, 2022. This session was held at the J. P. Naik Bhavan in University of Mumbai’s Kalina Campus. The third Youth Consultation was held later the same day.
