Abhishek Singh is a Ph.D. Candidate in Development Studies at the Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research, Mumbai. He holds a B.Sc. (Honours) in Mathematics from Banaras Hindu University and an M.Sc. in Computational and Integrative Sciences from Jawaharlal Nehru University. His research focuses on the economics of education, school infrastructure, dropout, learning outcomes, and applied development economics. He works with large administrative and survey datasets, including UDISE, UDISE+, ASER, NFHS, NAS, night-time lights, and spatial data. He uses applied econometric methods to study education and human capital formation in India. He is proficient in R, Python, GeoDa, LaTeX, R Markdown, and MS Office.
