Dr Indu Bhushan is a former Indian bureaucrat and economist. He was the first CEO of Ayushman Bharat, an Indian government agency providing national healthcare coverage to the low-income population of the country. His career spans over 40 years and across a multitude of sectors.
He received his B.Tech from IIT-BHU and his Postgraduate Diploma from IIT-Delhi. From 1983-92, Dr Bhushan served as an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer in the Rajasthan cadre before taking voluntary retirement. From 1994-96 he was with the World Bank and then he held various appointments at the Asian Development Bank, 1997 onwards. In 2018 Dr Bhushan accepted an appointment as the CEO of Ayushman Bharat.

From 1983-92, Dr Bhushan served as an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer in the Rajasthan cadre before taking voluntary retirement. From 1994-96 he was with the World Bank. Dr Bhushan held various appointments at the Asian Development Bank from 1997. In 2018 he accepted an appointment as the CEO of Ayushman Bharat.
