Dr. Richa Kothari is an economist with a Ph.D. and an M.Sc. in Applied Economics from Presidency University, Kolkata, where she ranked third. She completed her B.Sc. in Economics from Shri Shikshayatan College, Kolkata, securing the first rank, and has cleared six papers in actuarial science.

She has worked as an Individual Consultant at NITI Aayog, taught Economics at various institutions, and served as a UGC Research Fellow at Presidency University. She also has experience as a Data Scientist at Evalueserve, Bengaluru.

Her research focuses on women’s empowerment, intimate partner violence, and child nutrition. She is the author of “Intimate Partner Violence in India: A Quantitative Analysis of the Causes and Consequences” and has published in several international journals. She has also presented her work at leading academic conferences in India and abroad.
