The third seminar of the NSE-PIF Financial Sector Policy Series was organised in Mumbai on 23rd August 2022. The topic for this discussion was “Carbon Trading and India Inc”. The Introductory Remarks were made by Dr Tirthankar Patnaik, Chief Economist, National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE).
The session was chaired and moderated by Dr Rajiv Kumar, Founding Director and Chairman, Pahle India Foundation and erstwhile Vice Chairman, NITI Aayog. The seminar discussants were Mr Koushik Chatterjee, Executive Director & CFO, Tata Steel Limited; Mr Deepto Roy, Partner, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas; and Mr Sourajit Aiyer, Vice President – Sustainable Financing & ESG, auctusESG .
Mr Arindam Goswami, Research Fellow, Pahle India Foundation summarised the outcomes of the discussion and made the concluding remarks. The discussion was attended by lawyers, financial experts, stakeholders of clean energy sector, academia and professionals working in the area of green financing, and sustainable financing enthusiasts.
