Recently, Raksha Mantralay (the Defence Ministry) has given approvals for modernisation of the armed forces and upgradation of several military infrastructure and projects. One of the foci has been on acquisition of 155 mm howitzer guns and upgradation of the existing guns in the Indian artillery. Pahle India Foundation intends to do a comparative analysis of the existing 155mm/52 calibre guns held in the Indian inventory and the proposed options for acquisition.
