Pahlé India Foundation (PIF) and the Maharashtra Institution for Transformation (MITRA), Government of Maharashtra (GoM), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on district-level research for estimating District Gross Domestic Product (DGDP), contributing to the state’s goal of becoming a One Trillion Dollar Economy by 2028. This partnership combines MITRA’s vision for statewide transformation with PIF’s expertise in policy research to drive economic growth through data-driven insights. The joint efforts will focus on key initiatives like DGDP estimation, strengthening data collection across primary, secondary, and tertiary sectors, as well as developing a District Development Index (DDI).
